Captain Stardust: Momentum Over Perfection
  • momentum
  • iteration
  • burnout-prevention

Captain Stardust looked ambitious on paper, so the team committed to a playable-every-week rule. If a change made the build unstable, it was rolled back immediately and retried in smaller steps.

That approach kept morale high because contributors could see progress constantly, not only at the end of long feature cycles. It also made bug triage faster because regressions were easier to isolate.

The project shipped with a cleaner scope and healthier pace than earlier attempts. The biggest lesson was simple: momentum is a feature.
